Qatar - Capital (leading port) - Doha. Qatar is a peninsula running North into the Persian Gulf. Qatar is bounded - United Arab Emirates in the south. The territory includes a number of islands in the coastal waters of the peninsula. Most important is Halul, the storage and export terminal for the offshore oil fields. Total Area Qatar has an area of 11427 sq km (4412 sq mi).
