Mongolia - officially the Republic of Mongolia is a landlocked country in East Asia and Central Asia, bordered by Russia to the North and the China to the South. Its capital is Ulaanbaatar. Mongolia one of the newest democracies in the world, with the movement in the 1990s. Mongolia is the 18th largest country in the world. Mongolia population about 2.8 million, Mongolia has very little arable land: much of its area is grassland, with mountains in the North and West and the Gobi Desert in the south. A little over 30 percent of the population are nomadic or semi-nomadic Tibetan Buddhists of the Mongol ethnicity. About one-third of the population lives in the capital city Ulaanbaatar.
